Senior Facility Refinances Existing Debt and Provides Expansion Capital
EFA Partners (EFA), a boutique financial advisory firm that provides investment banking services focused on arranging capital and strategic consulting services for entertainment and media companies, today announced that it successfully led and completed a senior debt facility on behalf of Studio Movie Grill, a national pioneer and fast-growing leader in the in-theatre dining concept, with 14 sites and plans for further expansion throughout the US. Net proceeds from the loan were utilized to refinance Studio Movie Grill's existing debt and to provide growth capital to help fund its ongoing domestic expansion.
"We are delighted to once again work with the EFA Partners team on our second successful financing," stated Brian Schultz, owner, founder and President of Studio Movie Grill. "EFA's wide range of capital markets experience, banking relationships and deep knowledge of the cinema and location-based entertainment industries made them the perfect choice to assist with our financing efforts, which support our active growth strategy," added Mr. Schultz.
"As a pioneer and clear leader in the in-theatre dining space, Studio Movie Grill approached EFA with their expanded financing requirements, related to their new-build and expansion plans," stated Brandt Gully, a partner and founding principal of EFA Partners. "We structured a financing solution that further strengthens their balance sheet and provides growth capital plus additional financial flexibility as they open additional theatres that expand their footprint in new locations around the country," concluded Mr. Gully.
