EFA Partners Serves as Co-Sell-Side Advisor for My Eye Media’s Sale to Eurofins Digital Testing

New York, NY (November 2017) – EFA Partners, a boutique financial advisory firm focused on arranging capital and providing investment banking and strategic consulting services for entertainment, media and technology companies, announced today that it served as the co-sell-side advisor to arrange the sale of My Eye Media, a leader in quality assurance, technical analysis and testing of digital content for the motion picture industry, to Eurofins Digital Testing, a leader in end-to-end quality assurance that provides test tools, test services and training to validate digital media services, devices and content for service providers worldwide.

My Eye Media was founded in 2004 by Michael Kadenacy who has led the business since its inception and will continue to do so going forward. The company is headquartered at its 20,000 square foot facility in Burbank, CA, and also has offices in New York, Seoul, and Tokyo. The company’s quality control and quality assurance platform is critical to major film studios, cable and satellite content providers, streaming media content providers, and owners of content libraries. In addition, the company has a worldwide workforce of native language experts that perform localization quality control of content in territory.

Eurofins resources will accelerate My Eye Media’s expansion by providing economic, corporate and in territory support through its worldwide footprint so that My Eye Media can continue to grow across the globe.

EFA’s principals collectively have over 75 years of experience in providing financial solutions for media and entertainment companies, including mergers and acquisitions, capital placement and advisory services. EFA’s approach for My Eye Media took the process from start to finish, including preparing presentation materials, obtaining interest from select strategic investors and private equity firms, negotiating sale terms, and assisting in all aspects of the transaction through to closing.

Background: Initially approached by Gormally Broadcasting to arrange financing to recapitalize the company and fund planned acquisition growth. EFA became company’s sell-side advisor when industry changes and market forces made exploring a sale a more advantageous and financially rewarding strategic option for the company.

EFA Process: EFA was successful in securing financing commitments to fund a recapitalization and several acquisitions during the initial engagement focus. However, marketplace dynamics noted above resulted in EFA recommending a company sale. EFA provided a tailored, results-oriented approach from start to finish.

Result: EFA identified Meredith Corporation (NYSE: MDP) as the leading buyer and managed all aspects of the sale, maximizing the sales price received for the company.
